On November 2, as part of his working visit to the cities and districts of Sughd Province, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, visited Devashtich District. In the Lolazor village of the Yakhtan rural community, he officially inaugurated a fruit and vegetable processing and juice production plant operated by Vitaminhoi Tojikiston LLC.

The plant was established by domestic entrepreneur Saidmurod Davlatov in response to the instructions and directives of the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, concerning the full processing of agricultural products and the expansion of exports of products such as juices, beverages, jams, and other canned fruit and vegetable goods to foreign markets.

It was emphasized that the implementation of this important initiative would not only increase production capacity but also create new jobs and positively contribute to improving the living standards of local residents.

It was reported that the plant is equipped with modern machinery and equipment imported from Germany and Italy. Using two technological production lines, the facility has the capacity to process 600 tonnes of fruit and vegetables per month, or 7,200 tonnes annually. With the available facilities, the plant can produce up to 2,700 litres of pure natural juices and beverages per hour, without the addition of sugar or water.

Juices and beverages are produced from 30 varieties of fruits and vegetables.

Cold-storage facilities and other auxiliary infrastructure have also been constructed on the plant’s premises to receive and store raw materials as well as finished products.

The President was informed that fruits, vegetables, and melons are primarily supplied by farming enterprises in the city of Istaravshan and the districts of Devashtich, Shahriston, Zafarobod, Spitamen, and Jabbor Rasulov. These agricultural products undergo processing through to the final production stage. The finished goods are packaged in containers of various shapes and sizes in accordance with internationally established market requirements and quality standards before being offered to consumers.

Furthermore, to ensure a stable supply of locally sourced raw materials and establish a reliable foundation for production, an intensive orchard covering five hectares has been established in the same area with the entrepreneur’s investment.

Currently, the plant employs 60 local residents. Following the launch of its second phase, the number of employees is expected to increase to 100.

During his visit, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon called on the founder and officials responsible for the industrial sector in Devashtich District to make effective use of the incentives provided by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, attract investment, prioritize the application of modern technologies, ensure the complete processing of raw materials, and expand exports of finished products to foreign markets.

It was emphasized that the establishment of such enterprises represents an important step towards the comprehensive processing of agricultural products, increasing industrial production, promoting entrepreneurship, and creating new employment opportunities. Such initiatives also provide a favourable foundation for the efficient use of existing production capacities and the further development of the country’s industrial sector.
