Amonatbank Will Preside Over the SCO Interbank Consortium Council

DUSHANBE, 03.11.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik delegation led by the Chairman of Amonatbank Sirojiddin Ikromi attended the 16th meeting of the Council of the Interbank Association of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization via video conference.
The meeting took place per State Development Corporation VEB.RF’s initiative.
The heads of the member banks of the SCO IBC signed a number of documents, including the roadmap of the SCO interbank association to overcome the consequences of the pandemic for the organization’s economies, and joint approaches to expanding the use of national currencies in the SCO space.
Following the signing ceremony, the Chairman of the State Development Corporation VEB.RF Igor Shuvalov transferred the powers of the Chairman of the SCO IBC for 2020-2021 to Ikromi.
