Dushanbe Hosts Exhibition of Tourism Opportunities

DUSHANBE, 02.12.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – The exhibition of Tajikistan’s tourism opportunities will be held at the National Library in Dushanbe on December 9, reports the Committee for Tourism Development.
Services and goods will be presented by tourism organizations and companies, hotels, resorts, associations, as well as artisans.
The exhibition will include a round table, B2B and B2G meetings.
The exhibition is expected to cover ecological tourism, cultural and historical travel, health tourism, healthy recreation, as well as the development of folk crafts and economic incentives.
Over last 11 months, more than 320,000 tourists were able to visit Tajikistan. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this figure is 66% less than in the previous year, so one of exhibition’s directions will be the development of domestic tourism.
Over 1,254,000 tourists visited Tajikistan in 2019.
