Tajikistan and Afghanistan Ready to Develop Trade and Economic Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 25.06.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – On Wednesday, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavki Zavkizoda met with the Minister of Economy of Afghanistan Karima Hamid Faryabi as part of the SCO Economic Forum on the topic “Strengthening Cooperation in the Digital Economy, E-Commerce and Innovation.”
The meeting focused on the development of trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
The ministers exchanged views on increasing mutual trade turnover, creation of joint industrial enterprises in free economic zones with the involvement of investors from Afghanistan, and the implementation of the CASA-1000 project.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to work on the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
