Sughd Increases Its Yield of Fish by 14%

KHUJAND, 23.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Since January to now, Sughd region has managed to increase its fish production to 405 tonnes, reports the Regional Department of the Fish Farming Enterprise.
In the nine months of this year, the volume of fish farming in the region has reached 8.4 million somoni, which is 14.1% more than last year.
These types of fish include silver carp — 23.0%, carp — 35.2%, asp — 27.6%, pike perch 4.2%, trout — 0.3% and other types of fish — 9.7%.
Today there are about 30 large and small fish farms in the region.
