Financial Audits Reveal Loss Totaling 353 Million Somoni in 2021

DUSHANBE, 02.02.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Following 1,080 financial audits conducted by the employees of the Agency for State Financial Control and Fight Against Corruption of Tajikistan, there was a financial loss totaling 353 million somoni in 2021. This was stated today during a press conference by the Director of the Agency for State Financial Control and Fight Against Corruption Sulaimon Sultonzoda.
According to him, as a result of the measures taken, 324 million somoni, or 92%, of the identified amount of loss has been restored.
“Of the restored funds, 110 million somoni falls on the state budget and 214 million somoni on the budget of organizations and institutions,” Sultonzoda said.
He emphasized that financial audits were carried out in ministries and departments, local governments, centers for the implementation of investment projects, state economic entities, and other budgetary institutions.
