Volume of Agricultural Production Increased in Khatlon

BOKHTAR, 01.02.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – In 2021, Khatlon region increased its gross agricultural output by 6.1%. This was announced at a press conference by the Head of Statistical Department of the Khatlon region Kurbon Hakimzoda.
While considering all categories of farms, the volume of agricultural production amounted to over 20.6 billion somoni in comparable prices.
Khatlon agrarians produced crop production for over 15.3 billion somoni, and livestock — for more than 5.3 billion somoni.
The region produced 1,548,078 tons of vegetables for 2021, which is 105.3% more than in 2020, melons – 645,282 tons, which is 109.5% more and 216,271 tons of fruits, which is 103.4% higher than in 2020.
As of December 28, 2021, Khatlon exported 117,108 tons of agricultural products to Afghanistan, Russia, Uzbekistan, India, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Pakistan.
