Tajikistan and Oman Discuss Trade and Economic Cooperation in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 05.03.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Abdurahmon Abdurahmonzoda met with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Tajikistan Ibrahim bin Ahmad al-Muaini.
The meeting focused on issues of further expansion of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The parties paid special attention to strengthening trade and economic cooperation, attracting investments, in particular, increasing bilateral trade, exchanged views on the establishment of a joint ventures for the production of mineral water in the free economic zones of Tajikistan, as well as on the development and signing of memorandums of cooperation.
Abdurahmonzoda noted the incentives for Omani businessmen for investing in the oil refinery of TK Oil LLC in the Dangara FEZ and providing crude oil on preferential terms for its further processing.
The proposal was accepted by the Ambassador.
The parties expressed readiness for further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation and implementation of the discussed issues.
