DUSHANBE, 30.06.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Heads and representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations accredited in Tajikistan tomorrow will go to one of the country’s unique natural places — the Romit Biosphere Reserve, which was established in 1959, where they will directly get acquainted with rich natural resources and rare flora and fauna.
The purpose of the trip is to study the unique natural objects of Tajikistan, encourage and promote the unique capabilities of the unique nature, as well as development ecological tourism in the country.
The trip is organized per initiative of the Committee for Environmental Protection. During the trip, acquaintance of representatives of foreign states and international organizations with the unique nature of Tajikistan will leave a good impression on the guests.
Currently, the area of specially protected natural territories in Tajikistan is 3.1 million hectares, which covers 22% of the country’s territory.
