Tajikistan Increases Trade Turnover with Switzerland

DUSHANBE, 12.12.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – On December 9, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavki Zavkizoda met with the Ambassador of Switzerland to Tajikistan David Grichting.
“As a result of strengthening cooperation, bilateral trade for 10 months of 2022 amounted to $285.4 million, and in 2021 this figure increased by 39.5 percent,” Zavkizoda said.
The parties exchanged views on the expansion and further development of trade and economic cooperation, as well as on the current state and prospects for partnership between Tajikistan and Switzerland.
The meeting focused on important issues of trade and economic cooperation, especially the increase in trade between Tajikistan and Switzerland, and other important issues.
In this regard, a number of proposals were presented to expand cooperation, including a gradual increase in funding for priority projects of Tajikistan, the creation of joint textile enterprises, the production of aluminum products, the processing of agricultural products and other priority areas.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to expand and effectively use bilateral cooperation
