President of Tajikistan Points Out the Low Rates of Honey Exports

DUSHANBE, 22.06.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – “Tajik honey has won awards at many international exhibitions, because it is of high quality, incomparable taste and is environmentally friendly. But the indicators of honey exports are still insignificant and tend to decrease,” the President Emomali Rahmon expressed concern at a seminar-conference on beekeeping in the Khovaling district.
He instructed the ministries of agriculture, industry and new technologies, the Export Agency, together with the executive bodies of state power of regions, cities and districts, to take measures to increase the volume of exports of honey and other bee products.
“In this regard, in order to organize the process of preparing export-oriented honey, it is necessary to establish practical work at enterprises and in shops for processing and packaging honey,” said Emomali Rahmon.
Also, the Committee for Food Security and the Agency «Tajikstandart», together with the Ministry of Agriculture, the executive bodies of state power of cities and districts, were instructed to take the necessary measures to organize a national laboratory with international accreditation.
