Tajikistan Triples the Production of Medicines

DUSHANBE, 02.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The volume of exports of biologically active herbal supplements from Tajikistan this year increased by 63.25 million somoni compared to last year. This was stated on September 29 during the Dushanbe International Investment Forum — 2023 in the section “Investment opportunities in the healthcare sector, prospects for the development of the pharmaceutical sector and private medicine in Tajikistan.”
The volume of production of medicines and medical products produced in Tajikistan in 2022 compared to the same period the year before increased by 3 times.
The State Program for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry in Tajikistan for 2021-2025 is being successfully implemented to develop the pharmaceutical industry in the country.
As part of the program, 58 domestic enterprises began producing 560 types of medicines and medical products.
These enterprises provide new jobs for more than 450 specialists and workers, and up to 4,000 workers are involved in seasonal work.
