Trade Turnover between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan Increases by 78%

DUSHANBE, 21.05.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – It was provided information about the business and investment environment at the Azerbaijani-Tajik business forum organized in Baku, as well as bilateral documents were signed, and B2B meetings were held.
The Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikail Jabbarov emphasized that the trade and economic ties with Tajikistan are developing. In January-April 2024, trade turnover between the countries increased by 78%. There is ample opportunity to increase these indicators. There is great potential for the implementation of joint projects in the light, chemical, mining and other areas.
The forum provided information about the favorable business environment and transport and logistics potential of Azerbaijan, opportunities and projects created for investors.
Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir noted the importance of holding such forums and events with the participation of business structures to establish effective cooperation between business circles and shared his views on the development of trade, economic and investment partnership with Azerbaijan.
The documents were signed between specialized structures and business entities of the two countries, providing for the implementation of joint initiatives in the fields of industry, agriculture, investment, tourism and other areas.
B2B meetings took also place as part of the event.
