Tajikistan Exports More Than 1,000 Tons of Rose Hips in 2024

DUSHANBE, 02.12.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan increased rose hip exports by 97 tons compared to 2023, reports the Ministry of Agriculture.
In total, the country exported 1,288 tons of this plant’s fruits over 8 months.
In 2023, the Forestry Agency created 150 hectares of rose hip orchards.
According to experts, 4-8 tons of crops can be harvested from each hectare.
There are 400 varieties of rose hips in the world, 18 of which are grown in Tajikistan.
Rose hips, along with pistachios and nuts, are a profitable crop for Tajikistan’s forestry.
