Aviation Security in Tajikistan’s Airports Discussed at Interagency Commission Meeting in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 04.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – The issue of aviation security in the civil aviation sector of Tajikistan was the main focus of the latest meeting of the Interagency Commission on Ensuring Civil Aviation Security, which took place yesterday in Dushanbe.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan, Usmonali Usmonzoda, who heads the Commission.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Commission and Director of the Civil Aviation Agency, Habibullo Nazarzoda, as well as heads of aviation enterprises and senior representatives from relevant ministries and agencies also attended the meeting.
The participants discussed preparations for the upcoming International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) audit, reviewed existing shortcomings, and gave specific instructions to the responsible parties to address them effectively.
The meeting reaffirmed that aviation security remains a top priority in the field of civil aviation in Tajikistan. Regulation in this area is carried out in accordance with national legislation, including a Government resolution which stipulates that the Interagency Commission shall convene twice a year.
