Dushanbe Seeks Stronger Partnership With EBRD on Transport Modernization

Deputy Mayor of Dushanbe Rahmiddin Salomzoda met with a delegation from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to discuss expanding cooperation on the development of the Tajik capital’s transport infrastructure, city officials said.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed plans to modernize Dushanbe’s transport system and explored opportunities to strengthen collaboration between the city administration and the EBRD.
Discussions focused on the implementation of road and transport infrastructure projects, the introduction of advanced digital technologies for transport modeling and traffic management, and measures aimed at reducing congestion on the city’s roads.
The officials also exchanged views on applying international best practices to improve the efficiency and sustainability of urban transportation services.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation and advancing joint initiatives designed to improve transport infrastructure and traffic conditions in Dushanbe, according to the city administration.
