Shohmansur district reports industrial output surge to 601 million somoni in first half of 2026

DUSHANBE, July 17, 2026 (NIAT Khovar) – Industrial enterprises in Dushanbe’s Shahmansur district produced goods worth 601.4 million somoni in the first six months of 2026, an increase of 151.6 million somoni compared with the same period last year, district officials said.
According to Shohmansur district Chairman Safar Olimzoda, output increased at 105 of the district’s 174 industrial enterprises, while 40 enterprises reported lower production due to reduced demand. Another 29 enterprises were inactive during the reporting period.
Agricultural production in the district reached 8,531 tonnes in the first half of the year, including 671.5 tonnes of grain, 1,501.5 tonnes of potatoes and 2,648 tonnes of vegetables produced by farming enterprises.
The district also continued urban improvement efforts, with more than 163,000 ornamental and shade trees, over 1.6 million seasonal flowers and other green spaces planted during the period.
