Rustami Emomali, Chairman of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and Mayor of Dushanbe, met today with Mohammad Hassan Asadi, mayor of Shiraz, Iran, who is on an official visit to Tajikistan.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Dushanbe and Shiraz across various areas, the Dushanbe mayor’s office reported.

The sides agreed on the importance of marking the 35th anniversary of sister-city relations between Dushanbe and Shiraz in 2027 at a high level. They also discussed organizing the Days of Culture of Dushanbe in Shiraz and the Days of Culture of Shiraz in Dushanbe.

The two sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
