The Dushanbe International Tourism Exhibition 2026 and the International Forum “City Integration in Realizing Sustainable Tourism Opportunities” will be held Sept. 24–26 in the capital ahead of World Tourism Day.
The Tourism Development Department of the Dushanbe City Executive Authority said the events will be organized under a resolution signed by Mayor Rustami Emomali, who also oversees the city’s executive authority.
An organizing committee has been formed, including deputy mayors, representatives of relevant agencies, law enforcement bodies, and other government institutions, to coordinate preparations and implementation.
Officials said the annual events aim to promote sustainable tourism, expand intercity cooperation, attract investment, and showcase Tajikistan’s tourism potential, particularly in Dushanbe.
Representatives from sister and partner cities, regional ministries and agencies, international organizations, the academic community, investors, and travel companies are expected to attend the forum.
The program will include discussions on sustainable tourism development, investment attraction, joint projects, and strengthening partnerships between cities and tourism stakeholders. New cooperation agreements are expected to be signed following the forum.
The exhibition will feature B2B meetings, training sessions for hospitality staff and tour guides, and initiatives to develop new tourist routes. A photo exhibition highlighting Tajikistan’s natural, cultural, and recreational attractions will also be organized.
Tourist routes in the capital will showcase historical, cultural, and recreational sites, alongside cultural programs.
The event is being organized by Somon Travel LLC with support from the Dushanbe City Executive Authority. The tourism exhibition and forum were first held in 2024 and have since become an international platform for promoting tourism and investment, officials said.
