Firdavsi district reports industrial output growth in first half of 2026

DUSHANBE, July 17, 2026 (NIAT Khovar) – Industrial production in Dushanbe’s Firdavsi district reached 970.1 million somoni in the first six months of 2026, increasing by 85.7 million somoni compared with the same period last year, district authorities reported.
Firdavsi district Chairman Dilshod Safarzoda said the growth was driven by higher output in manufacturing, garment production, food processing, construction and medium-sized enterprises.
The district registered 10 new industrial enterprises in 2026, creating more than 67 jobs.
Industrial exports from Firdavsi district amounted to $10.4 million during the reporting period, up by $2.6 million compared with the same period in 2025.
As part of preparations for the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence, the district plans to construct 109 high-rise buildings, nine secondary schools, seven preschool facilities, establish and modernise 29 industrial enterprises, and develop five public parks.
