DUSHANBE, July 22, 2026 (NIAT Khovar) – On July 20, Deputy Chairman of Dushanbe Nurjahon Ismoilzoda met with a delegation from Chongqing Municipality of China.

The meeting focused on prospects for expanding cooperation between the two cities.

The parties exchanged views on cooperation in the fields of economy, industry, urban development and the creation of “smart cities”, education, healthcare, culture, sports and tourism.

The meeting also highlighted the state visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, to Chongqing in May 2026 and its role in strengthening ties between Tajikistan and China.
