DUSHANBE, 25.04.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The fifth Festival-exhibition of collection cars “Auto-retro, Dushanbe” will be held in Dushanbe. The relevant decision was signed on Monday, April 24 by the Chairman of Dushanbe city Rustami Emomali.
The Festival — exhibition will be held on Saturday, May 6 from 8:00 to 18:00 local time on the territory of the Dushanbe hotel complex “Hyatt Regency” and “Kokhi Navruz” of the capital.
This day, the festival square will turn into an exhibition of cult, collection cars: old cars of Soviet, European and American production will be presented. In other words, retro-fans and retro professionals will show here something that will not see anywhere else.
By the way, in the West such festivals-exhibitions are called «Old-timer-gallery». The word “Old-timer”, in English means “old, rare car”, as a rule, means a car that was released more than 30 years ago. So, the visitors of exhibition, in all probability, can admire many rare and spectacular vintage cars of the brand “Pobeda”, “Moskvich”, “Volga”, “Zaparozhets”, “Lada”, “Volkswagen”, “Ford”, “Chevrolet”, “Pontiac”, and, of course, “Mercedes-Benz”, which, incidentally, in the West is also considered the main symbol of the movement lovers of Old-timers.
We will recall that the first festival-exhibition of cars in Dushanbe was held in April 2013.
