Country’s largest water park “Obshoron” opened in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 20.06.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The largest in Tajikistan water park “Obshoron” was opened in Dushanbe in honor of the 20th anniversary of National Unity Day.
According to the Department of Public Information and External Affairs at Dushanbe mayor’s office, this facility was commissioned on June 19 by the Chairman of Dushanbe city Rustami Emomali. The construction of the water park started in February 2016, as part of the instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and today it is considered the best complex for entertainment and recreation of citizens. The water park occupies about 20 thousand square meters of area, there are 14 unique water attractions for children and adults, 7 landscaped pools with artificial waterfalls, playgrounds and other entertainment equipment. The total cost of this project amounted to 628 thousand 532 TJS.
In addition, auxiliary facilities, such as a public catering service (canteen), first aid room, dressing cabins, showers and toilets have been built, which are housed in an administrative building of the water park.
The Chairman of Dushanbe city Rustami Emomali during the opening of the complex got acquainted with conditions of service, and gave specific instructions and recommendations to service personnel of the water park. The Mayor of the capital has noted that in recent years a number of cultural and leisure facilities have been built and commissioned in the city. He has expressed confidence that the construction of such sports and entertainment centers will promote the growth of youth, healthy sports fans, providing new jobs and improving the welfare of the people.
It should be noted that the water park provided seasonal work and a high salary for over 100 people.
