Dushanbe Builds a Mobile Hospital with Uzbekistan’s Support
DUSHANBE, 11.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – A mobile hospital is being built in Dushanbe, consisting of dozens of containers that will serve as rooms. The containers were delivered from Uzbekistan along with ventilators.
“We started early; we have experience. We want to explain to the population how to deal with this epidemic. Our ministry’s leadership is in touch with the Tajik Ministry of Health. We can organize video conferences. Infectious disease specialists and resuscitators came with us. We’ll try to overcome this disease together,” said the head of the Department of the Tashkent Medical Academy Nematjon Ibragimov.
The hospital is being built in the Bofanda stadium, where currently drainpipes and sewer pipes are being laid. They will be connected to medical containers soon.
“Each container will include all the necessities for treatment of four people. We intend to complete the building process as soon as possible,” said the Director of Dushanbe Irrigation Department Mirzosharif Ismatzoda.
According to the assistant engineer, the mobile hospital will reduce the load on hospitals and will serve as a quarantine zone.
The plan is to accept patients as soon as next Monday.
This is the second humanitarian aid sent from Uzbekistan this month.
