Expansion of Cooperation Between Tajik and UAE Travel Agencies Discussed in Dubai

DUSHANBE, 19.01.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – As part of Tourism Week of Tajikistan and the Expo 2020, the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development Habibullo Amirbekzoda met with the Chief Executive Officer of the Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing of Dubai Issam Kazim.
The parties noted the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism, strengthening contacts between the tourism authorities of Tajikistan and the UAE, as well as the establishment of interaction between the Tajik and UAE travel agencies, courses for specialists in the tourism sector in the UAE, and the first participation of Tajikistan in the Arabian Travel Market exhibition, which is scheduled to be held in May 2022 in Dubai.
Kazim was provided with detailed information on the visa-free system, benefits and support for foreign investors, measures, sectoral plans, and programs implemented by the government of Tajikistan to develop the tourism sector.
Following the meeting, readiness was expressed to expand cooperation in order to further mutually attract tourists.
Amirbekzoda also met with the Chairman of the International Institute for Cultural Diplomacy of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed Kamil Al Muaini.
Al Muaini shared his impressions of Tajikistan, including the celebration of Navruz, he partook in last year.
The meeting focused on the possibility of deepening cooperation in the fields of tourism and culture, the participation of tourism and cultural circles of the two countries in joint events.
