DUSHANBE, 23.11.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan and Russia agreed to implement large investment projects in various sectors of the economy.
As President Emomali Rahmon noted on November 21 in his speech at a press briefing following his official visit to Russia, for these purposes a favorable investment climate has been created in Tajikistan, as well as several free economic zones are also functioning.
“Interstate cooperation with Russia in the field of financial information has reached a qualitatively new level. Our mutual settlements in national currencies have increased to 82 percent. Talks mainly focused on issues of energy cooperation, as well as industrial cooperation with an emphasis on the metallurgical, mining, textile, food and pharmaceutical industries. Taking into account the huge hydropower resources, our country is actively developing “green” energy,” said President Emomali Rahmon.
