DUSHANBE, 26.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 26, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, met with leaders and activists in Rushon district.
First, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, congratulated the residents of the district and the region on the occasion of an important historical date — National Unity Day.
The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, recalled the state support during the years of independence and stated that the Government of the country has implemented all necessary measures to resolve the socio-economic issues of the district and ensure its development over the past 34 years of independence and is continuing this process. In particular, during this period, more than 1.4 billion somoni have been allocated from all sources of funding for the development of the district. It was emphasized that 660 million somoni have been allocated from the state budget alone, of which more than 346 million somoni are targeted funds to cover the expenses of the district budget.
The President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, noted that during the period of independence, 10 state investment projects were implemented in the district, and now the implementation of 5 more projects is underway, the amount of money disbursed under these projects to date is 118 million somoni.
The Head of State reflected on the importance of building roads and bridges, and in particular stated: «We have officially opened the international highway Kalaikhumb — Vanj — border of Rushon district in Vanj and Darvoz districts, which plays a very important role in ensuring the harmonious development of cities and districts of the Badakhshan Mountainous Autonomous Province, including Rushon district, and in transforming Tajikistan into a transit country.»
According to information, the construction and reconstruction of 165 facilities is planned in Rushon district to celebrate the 35th anniversary of state independence, and 75 percent of the plan has been implemented to date.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, expressed gratitude to all generous individuals, entrepreneurs, investors, and honorable residents of the Rushon district, who are making a valuable contribution to the development of the district.
The President of the country instructed the executive bodies of state power to strengthen, in addition to the work already done, taking into account the resources and capabilities of the district, the work to build industrial enterprises and workshops, attract domestic and foreign investment, increase the volume of production of competitive products, create new jobs, and improve the quality of social services in order to raise the living standards of the population.
