The Tajikistan-Republic of Korea Strategic Investment Forum was held in Seoul on Sept. 17, 2026, during the official visit of Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon to the Republic of Korea, NIAT Khovar reported.
More than 250 participants, including about 200 entrepreneurs and investors from the Republic of Korea, attended the forum, where Tajikistan’s investment opportunities and priority economic sectors were presented.
Sulton Rahimzoda, chairman of Tajikistan’s State Committee on Investments and State Property Management, spoke about the country’s investment potential and prospects for expanding investment cooperation between Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea.
The forum highlighted Tajikistan’s potential in sectors including industry and mineral processing, green energy, digital technologies and artificial intelligence, education and tourism.
Several cooperation documents were signed at the conclusion of the forum. The agreements are aimed at strengthening economic and investment ties and promoting direct cooperation between the business communities of Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea.
