Dushanbe Chairman’s Office Cancels All Mass Events Devoted to Capital Day
DUSHANBE, 16.04.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – All mass events devoted to Capital Day in Dushanbe have been cancelled, reports the Department of Public Information and External Affairs of the Chairman’s Office.
Traditionally, every year on this day, festive parties, meetings, gatherings and various other cultural and sports programs are held in the cultural and recreational parks of Dushanbe, along with professional contests in the field of health, education and other fields which are awarded by the Dushanbe Chairman’s Office.
Although Tajikistan does not yet have any registered cases of the coronavirus or COVID-19, the city has decided to cancel all planned events as a precautionary measure. The contest winners will still be awarded, but without a ceremony.
