Dushanbe hosted an eleventh session of Majlis of People’s Deputies
DUSHANBE, 25.07.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The eleventh session of Majlis of People’s Deputies of Dushanbe city (fifth convocation) was held on July 24.
According to the Department of Public Information and External Affairs at Dushanbe mayor’s office, the session was attended by the Chairman of Dushanbe city Rustami Emomali, his first and other deputies, the chairmen of metropolitan districts, the head of the Executive Office of the Chairman of Dushanbe city and his deputies, as well as heads of city structures and agencies. The session was held under the chairmanship of Rustami Emomali, Chairman of Majlis of People’s Deputies of Dushanbe city.
According to the agenda, the session reviewed the implementation of the programs and action plan of the Executive body of state authority of Dushanbe city in the field of education and innovations in this sector. People’s deputies called on responsible persons to take measures for timely and quality implementation of programs and to strengthen work in this area.
Then, the results of the socio-economic development of Dushanbe city in the first half of this year and the tasks for the second half of the year, as well as the approval of the Decrees of the Chairman of the city of Dushanbe were considered.
Rustami Emomali especially drew the attention of deputies and industry experts to the issues of appropriation of funds of fixed assets in construction, quality assurance of construction works and materials, and upgrading the skills of state acceptance commissions. He gave specific instructions to improve the providing population with drinking water, reduce debts on paying for drinking water, strengthen the implementation of the second phase of the project on water purification and improve engineering and communal services.
The responsible persons were called together with the relevant city structures to improve the work on removal of domestic garbage and its timely neutralization, to provide city’s night lighting.
The relevant structures were instructed, in cooperation with the city’s law enforcement bodies, to take measures for preventing crime and offenses, increasing the legal literacy of the population, ensuring public order and preventing fires at the markets and city’s retail outlets.
The metropolitan Department of Education was given a task — by the end of the year to prepare the report to the Executive body of state authority on the measures taken to reduce the number of underage beggars and street children in the city, and to conduct educational talks for preventing fights in the city’s schools.
Rustami Emomali instructed the heads metropolitan districts to connect the entire residential sector of the capital to centralized heating and to submit a report on the work done.
The Chairman of Dushanbe city instructed the heads of the relevant structures of the capital to intensify explanatory talks among the residents of the capital on the preventing the following of another’s culture and traditions (especially in the style of clothes), as well as the prevention of infectious diseases.
In addition, Rustami Emomali drew the attention of participants to the observance of sanitary standards for the maintenance of vehicles, roads, bridges and playgrounds, the introduction of a uniform form for drivers, as well as price regulation in the capital markets.
The Chairman of Dushanbe city ordered the heads of the relevant structures to monitor the timely execution of instructions.
