Tajik Athlete Fozilov Wins Silver Medal at the Asian Junior Boxing Championship

DUSHANBE, 14.03.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The final fights of the Asian Junior Boxing Championship took place yesterday in Amman, Jordan.
On this day, Tajik athlete Anushervon Fozilov in the weight category up to 46 kg defeated the representative of India Krish Pal and won a silver medal. Before reaching the final, he beat Mandakh Tosgbardakh of Mongolia in the preliminary round, Hamdan Abbos Kosim of Iraq in the quarterfinals, and Zafarbek Komilov of Kyrgyzstan in the semifinals.
Three other Tajik athletes Ruslan Gafurov (-57 kg), Rustamjon Ashurov (-60 kg) and Hangoma Isoeva (-57 kg) won bronze medals.
Today, the final fights among juniors will take place, in which the Tajik athlete Abdurahim Yakubov (-60 kg) will fight against Kyrgyz boxer Almaz Orozbekov.
