DUSHANBE, 09.06.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali met with the Japanese Ambassador to Tajikistan Toshihiro Aiki.
The meeting focused on the current state and prospects for cooperation between Dushanbe Chairman’s Office and Japan.
Emomali congratulated Aiki on his appointment and expressed his confidence that he would make a worthy contribution to the development of partnerships between countries in various areas of cooperation.
The parties attached paramount importance to the development of trade, economic and socio-cultural cooperation, and stressed that Japan and Tajikistan have ample opportunities and resources for multifaceted cooperation.
Over the years of establishing diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Japan mutually beneficial cooperation has been established in various fields.
The parties stressed their interest in further development and expansion of cooperation, including in the field of healthcare, education, construction of roads and bridges, digitization of the water canal system and the creation of joint ventures in various sectors.
