Tajikistan Trade Neared $5.5 Billion in Nine Months

DUSHANBE, 07.11.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan’s foreign trade turnover for the first nine months of this year amounted to almost $5.5 billion. This figure is 18.8% or $ 857.4 million more than a year earlier.
Trade balance was negative and amounted to over $2.1 billion.
Export of goods for this period amounted to over $1.6 billion, with an increase of 5.5%, or $85.2 million.
The volume of imports amounted to over $3.7 billion with an increase of 25.7%, or $772.3 million.
The main trading partners of Tajikistan are Russia — $1.2 billion, Kazakhstan — over $1 billion, and China — $965 million.
