DUSHANBE, 02.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 29, Speaker of the National Assembly,  Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali during his speech at the opening ceremony of the Dushanbe International Investment Forum — 2023 said that the comprehensive support for entrepreneurship, development of the private sector and attraction of domestic and foreign investment in Tajikistan in recent years has contributed to an increase in the rate of development of the main sectors of the economy and, in general, to the progress of the national economy.

According to him, over the past 20 years, more than 150 billion somoni of foreign investment have been attracted to Tajikistan, including a total of 60 billion somoni of direct investment.

“The accelerated industrialization has been declared one of the strategic national goals. Significant work has been done in this direction. To date, more than 3,000 small and large manufacturing enterprises have been built and put into operation, as a result of which the volume of industrial production has increased 31 times compared to 2000. Today we can say with satisfaction that during the period of independence, Tajikistan has turned from an importing country into an exporting country,” emphasized Rustam Emomali.
