Dushanbe to Host Free “City Tour” on World Tourism Day

DUSHANBE, 26.09.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – At the initiative of the Executive Body of State Authority of Dushanbe, a free tourist route “City Tour” will be organized on September 27 to mark World Tourism Day. The event is open to both residents and guests of the capital.
The initiative aims to promote tourism development, familiarize participants with Dushanbe’s history, culture, and landmarks, strengthen intercultural ties, and raise international awareness of the capital’s growing appeal as a tourism destination.
Professional guides will provide commentary in Tajik, Russian, and English, depending on the audience. To create a festive atmosphere, live performances by local artists will accompany the tour.

World Tourism Day has been celebrated annually on September 27 since 1979, and today it is observed in more than 150 countries worldwide.
The gathering point is at the Ismoili Somoni Monument, on September 27, from 19:00 to 20:30.
