DUSHANBE, 31.01.2026 (NIAT Khovar) – A free tourist route titled “Sayri Sada” was organized today at the initiative of the Executive Body of State Authority of Dushanbe as part of the celebrations of the ancient Sada Holiday.
The event brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, foreign tourists and guests, international students of higher educational institutions in Dushanbe, and members of the media.
During the tour, professional guides provided information in Tajik, Russian, and English about Dushanbe’s tourism potential and the historical and cultural significance of the Sada Holiday.
The route began at the Shah Ismoil Somoni Monument and continued to the Abulqosim Firdavsi Culture and Recreation Park, the main venue of the Sada celebrations.
At the park, foreign guests and tourists explored exhibitions featuring agricultural seeds, specialized machinery, flowers and ornamental plants, traditional handicrafts, national dishes, varieties of dried fruits and sweets, and other items symbolizing the essence of Sada.
«The initiative aims to support the development of the tourism sector, promote Tajikistan’s national tourism brand, market tourism products, and ensure the preservation and sustainable use of natural, recreational, historical, and cultural resources,» stated the capital’s Department for Tourism Development.
Such national festivals — particularly Sada, Navruz, Tirgon, and Mehrgon — play an important role in introducing foreign visitors to the traditions, customs, rituals, ancient crafts, and national cuisine of the Tajik people. They also serve as an effective platform for presenting the rich history and culture of the Tajik nation, promoting the country’s tourism potential, especially that of the capital, and attracting more international visitors under the national tourism brand.
